Registration conditions Workshops - The Voice-Over Coach

Below we publish the registration conditions for basic training, vocational/branch/vocational training and courses (hereinafter referred to as 'training').

The Voice-Over Coach is not a member of the Dutch Council for Training and Education (NRTO). These registration conditions are in line with the general terms and conditions and the code of conduct of the NRTO.

1. The study agreement

The study agreement is concluded between the consumer who takes the course (hereinafter referred to as 'you') and The Voice-Over Coach, who provides the course (hereinafter referred to as 'The Voice-Over Coach'). The study agreement includes the study program for which you register, including the teaching materials and the teaching hours associated with the study programme. The study contract applies to the total duration of the study programme. The Voice-Over Coach assumes that you will actively participate in the training. If applicable, the Voice-Over Coach ensures proper planning and scheduling of the teachers for teaching days, exams and other forms of testing. You may expect from The Voice-Over Coach that the training will be offered at a high level with qualified teachers, high-quality teaching material and proper facilities. The Voice-Over Coach will make every effort to enable you to successfully complete the training.

2. Registration and cooling-off period

By registering for a training course of De Voice-Over Coach, you enter into a study agreement for the duration of the training as stated in the training information and you agree to the conditions as stated here. If specific conditions apply to the course, these are stated in the course information. The training information, such as the method of starting, the tuition, any exam costs and the study programme, can be found on the website and/or in the relevant study guide of The Voice-Over Coach. The services and support resulting from the study agreement are personal and non-transferable. The agreement is concluded as soon as De Voice-Over Coach has received your registration and De Voice-Over Coach has confirmed its receipt. If the registration has taken place via the internet, you will immediately receive a confirmation of the agreement by e-mail; if the registration has taken place in another way, the confirmation will take place by post or e-mail.

There is a cooling-off period of seven days from the moment we have confirmed the registration to you (right of withdrawal). You exercise the right of withdrawal by sending an unambiguous statement by post or e-mail within this period that you wish to dissolve the agreement. It is easier to use the dissolution/revocation form. You can request this form from the Customer Service of The Voice-Over Coach.

3. Entry Requirements

There are no admission requirements to participate in this De Voice-Over Coach training, unless stated otherwise on our website or in the study guide. You must have a computer with internet access to complete the course.

4. Payment Options and Late Payment

The current tuition and registration fee can be found on our website. You can pay the tuition and the one-off registration fee in various ways:

  • Automatic monthly or lump sum payment. You can state your IBAN/bank account number on the registration form, after which tuition fees will be automatically deducted from your account monthly or in one lump sum. The registration fee will be debited with the first monthly instalment.

  • Non-automatic instalment payment. You will receive giro collection forms with which you pay the tuition fees either monthly or in one instalment. When paying in instalments by acceptgiro, a one-off bank fee of € 3 is charged. These bank charges are added to the first instalment.

  • Payment via IDEAL or in instalments.

The Voice-Over Coach guarantees that your tuition fees will not be changed during your studies. You are in default of payment the moment the due date of the invoice has passed. The Voice-Over Coach will send a payment reminder after that date has passed and give you the opportunity to still pay within ten working days of receiving this payment reminder. If you have still not paid after the payment reminder has expired, De Voice-Over Coach is entitled to charge interest and reasonable costs of (extrajudicial) collection. Interest may be charged from the expiry of the payment date and is equal to the legal interest rate. During the handling of a complaint or dispute, The Voice-Over Coach will suspend the charging of interest and collection costs.

If you do not fulfil the payment obligation agreed with you, De Voice-Over Coach may temporarily suspend sending new study materials until the payment arrears have been cleared. If De Voice-Over Coach starts collection proceedings, the claim will be extended to the entire amount of outstanding tuition fees supplemented by collection and additional costs, and your studies will be temporarily interrupted so that no study time is lost.

You remain personally liable at all times for complying with your payment obligation for tuition fees and other costs, even if you have indicated at registration that your employer has assumed payment of the study costs. The Voice-Over Coach is not responsible for the topicality of the study materials if your studies have been suspended for some time due to a claim.

5. Study and service duration

The study agreement ends automatically upon expiry of the study duration as laid down upon your registration; the mutual rights and obligations cease to exist the moment the study agreement ends.

6. Implementation of tuition

Enrolment for optional class meetings (practice days) takes place in order of receipt by The Voice-Over Coach. Under- or over-enrolment may occur. This means that too few or too many students are enrolled to provide classroom teaching in a responsible, didactic manner. In this case, The Voice-Over Coach may alternatively offer to take the course at an alternative location or via distance learning.

In the event of illness and/or prevention of a teacher, De Voice-Over Coach will make every effort to provide equivalent replacement. If replacement proves impossible, De Voice-Over Coach will inform students of this as soon as possible. The class meeting will then be rescheduled. Incidental failure of a teacher or class meeting does not entitle the student to compensation or refund of tuition fees.

In some cases, participation in class meetings is mandatory. The timetable will give you more information on this.

7. Exchanging or switching courses

Changing courses is only possible up to 7 days after the starting date of the course. In case of payment arrears, exchange is not possible. The total amount of tuition and examination fees of the new course must be at least 75% of the old course. It is not possible to switch from a classroom-based course to a regular course. The request for exchange can be sent to the Customer Service Department via the e-mail address info@devoiceovercoach.nl. The tuition fee already paid will be transferred to the new course. From the moment the registration for the new course is confirmed to you, the registration conditions of the relevant course apply.

If exchange is no longer possible, it is permitted to transfer once to another course. The total amount of the tuition and examination fees of the new programme must be at least 75% of the old programme.

The tuition fees for the old course have to be paid until the starting date of the new course, the remaining instalments of the old course will be credited. From the start moment of the new study programme, the new study duration starts and the new tuition fee is due. The moment of transfer determines whether it is mandatory to return the course material of the current study period by registered mail to The Voice-Over Coach. From the moment registration for the new course is confirmed to you, the registration conditions of the relevant course apply.

8. Premature termination

At The Voice-Over Coach you register for the full programme of the course. Premature termination of the programme is not possible.

If the student dies, the agreement ends immediately and the remaining payment obligation expires.

9. Shipping costs

Any shipping costs for sending the course material are for the account of The Voice-Over Coach. All postal deliveries to The Voice-Over Coach and its teachers must be sufficiently stamped by you.

10. Teaching materials

Selling or giving away the lesson material to third parties is not permitted. The copyright and intellectual property rights of the study material are held by The Voice-Over Coach (as applicable).

11. Examination information

If your course involves exams, you will receive full information on this. No examinations are applicable in current programmes.

12. Customer service and mentor team

The Voice-Over Coach naturally does everything possible to avoid errors in your study package and its dispatch. If, despite this, something is not right, please report it within ten days of receiving the package. The Voice-Over Coach will make every effort to resolve the complaint as soon as possible and, of course, to your complete satisfaction. Should you have a comment on the service provided, you can submit a report via The Voice-Over Coach website. To deal with questions or complaints of an administrative nature or about the content of the training course, customer service and the mentoring team can be reached by telephone and e-mail. These questions or complaints will be answered by The Voice-Over Coach within ten working days from the date of receipt. Questions or complaints that require a foreseeably longer processing time will be answered by return with a notice of receipt and an indication of when you can expect an answer. Complaints will be handled in accordance with the complaints procedure published on The Voice-Over Coach website.

13. Disputes

In the event of disputes, both you and De Voice-Over Coach may request a binding opinion from De Geschillencommissie Particuliere Onderwijsinstellingen, Bordewijklaan 46, PO Box 90600, 2509 LP The Hague  (www.degeschillencommissie.nl). Before filing a dispute, however, you must first have gone through the complaints procedure (see article 10) and its handling must not have resulted in a satisfactory solution. You must then submit the dispute to The Disputes Committee within three months of its settlement.

The Disputes Committee charges a financial contribution for handling a dispute. If The Voice-Over Coach informs you that it will submit a dispute to The Disputes Committee, you have five weeks to let The Voice-Over Coach know whether or not you agree. If you do not respond, The Voice-Over Coach may refer the dispute to The Disputes Committee or to the courts. If you do not agree within the aforementioned period, De Voice-Over Coach can only submit the dispute to the court.

14. Applicable law and liability

The study agreement is governed by Dutch law.

Insofar as The Voice-Over Coach fails imputably and you suffer damage as a result, The Voice-Over Coach's liability is limited to compensation for direct damage. This does not include liability for personal injury, death or property damage.

Should the participant suffer throat and/or vocal cord problems during the workshop, the participant should report this to The Voice-Over Coach immediately. The latter will then refer you to a speech therapist or your GP. Try to avoid overloading your vocal cords at all times.

15. Personal Data Protection Act

Within the framework of the Personal Data Protection Act, the details provided by you, such as name, address and place of residence, are included in the (customer) administration. This administration is registered with the College bescherming persoonsgegevens (CBP) under notification number m1329153. De Voice-Over Coach will only use your details to keep you informed about De Voice-Over Coach's training courses or related information.

The Voice-Over Coach does not sell personal data to third parties. If you object to this use of your data, please let De Voice-Over Coach know in writing or by e-mail.

16. Suspension

The Executive Board of The Voice-Over Coach reserves the right to refuse, suspend and/or expel students in special circumstances. This applies to students who commit fraudulent acts or do not behave according to the social norm and adopt aggressive or violent behaviour in communication, whether by telephone, digitally or in persona.

17. Modification of conditions

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the registration conditions may be amended by The Voice-Over Coach. The Voice-Over Coach will publish changes on the website of The Voice-Over Coach at least two weeks before the effective date.
